Empowering Youth Through
Wheelchair Basketball and Inclusion.
I.S.H.O.W was honoured to visit Kinokamasihk Kiskinohamatokamik School and the Kehewin Cultural Education Centre in Kehewin Cree Nation near Bonnyville.
Students rolled onto the court with focus and confidence. They learned fast, pushed hard, and supported each other through every drill and game. The gym stayed loud with encouragement and pride as wheelchair basketball became a shared experience, not a lesson.
This visit was about more than sport. It was about understanding ability, building respect, and creating space where every student could participate fully.
Thank you to the students, staff, and community for the warm welcome and for embracing inclusion in action.
