Indigenous Shooting Hoops on Wheels (iSHOW) is an empowering adaptive sports initiative designed to engage Indigenous individuals of all abilities in the excitement of wheelchair basketball.
iSHOW Program Overview
iSHOW, in partnership with T.A.N.S.I. Society and Wheelchair Sports Alberta, brings wheelchair basketball to remote and rural Indigenous communities within the territories of Treaties 6, 7, and 8, as well as Métis districts. This program fosters diversity, inclusivity, equality, and empowerment while strengthening community connections through the power of sport. It aims to create accessible opportunities for physical activity, promote overall well-being, and inspire participants to explore their athletic potential.
Key Objectives
