Who is iSHOW?

TANSI Society – Transplant Amputee Native Support in Alberta Society has partnered with WSA – Wheelchair Sports Alberta to form iSHOW.

iSHOW has a truck and trailer that is equipped with 18 Sports wheelchairs designed for basketball.  iSHOW is currently working on second traveling unit

iSHOW – is a federal, provincial, municipal and community funded program that is split into four sections:

* taught over 1000+ youth, parents, teachers, community members both abled-bodied and the disabled

*Driven over 20, 000 kms across Alberta

iSHOW offers this program to communities, ideally, for a week-long session. We cover basic movements in the sports chair to intricate movements in a game like setting.

iSHOW demonstrates and advocates Wheelchair basketball as a regional, municipal, provincial, national and Paralympic-level sport, creating tremendous opportunities for those who need it the most.

Truth and Reconciliation with Wheelchair Basketball

iSHOWs goal for this program is to integrate Truth and Reconciliation with Wheelchair Basketball.

Rooted in Indigenous culture, the society promotes health, wellness, and recovery through partnerships across Alberta. It helps organizations serve Indigenous communities authentically while encouraging organ and tissue donation, honoring donors, and supporting those on transplant and amputation journeys.
